Support Health Care in Guatemala

November 24, 2009 by Rick

A friend of mine, Don Snow, and his wife, Ruth, are driving from Gilroy California to Jalapa Guatemala Friday after Thanksgiving. They are driving to raise awareness and dollars for the health care that comes to Guatemala from volunteer doctors. They are also donating their Toyota pickup “Old Red'” to the cause. http://www.jalapabound.blogspot.com/

Don suggested a $70 donation or .02 per mile driven to show support. http://www.lampcharity.org/donate.html

The poinsettia, impatiens or geraniums you are enjoying most likely came from a cutting raised on a farm in Guatemala. Check back for more on this later. In 2 weeks I am traveling to Guatemala with other US Growers to visit farms that supply seeds and cuttings. I plan to post some images from the trip when I return.
