| Comments: Calibrachoa hybrids are related to petunias but you can see from their small lance shaped leaves and tiny flowers that they are a different species. The recent introduction of these mounding trailing showoffs has produced many fans. Patented Calibrachoas and the new Patented Trailing Littletunia Petunias are produced from virus free cuttings and are more disease resistant than hybrid seed petunia. The many colors include bright yellows and oranges as well as typical petunia colors. Calibrachoas are frost hardy and more heat tolerant than hybrid seed petunia. Use them as 'SPILLERS' or 'FILLERS' in large combination planters or baskets or as low growing components in the flower border. |
